The success factor

This blog is about rewarding desired behaviors. I remember the book from Robert Sharpe and David Lewis "The success factor" from 1977. It was basically self-help old style from seventies. About positive reinforcements, self-reward, self-reinforcement, rewarding desired behaviors, self-administred positive reinforcement. This is definition of technique expained in the book.

Self-reinforcement is a simple but powerful behavioral technique in which you deliberately reward yourself after performing a desired behavior or completing a difficult task. By consistently pairing effort with a small, meaningful reward, you teach your brain to associate the challenging action with something pleasant, which increases the likelihood that you will repeat it in the future. The key is to choose rewards that you genuinely enjoy, keep them proportional to the effort involved, and give them to yourself as soon as possible after the task, so the connection between action and reward stays clear and strong.
